“Saint Leo has a very warm and welcoming campus,” says Alicia Smith, ’09. “Everyone knows each other."
"I came to SLU because of the history of the school. I had a great admissions counselor and I knew a few people that attended the university."
"At Saint Leo, I have become a more socially and academically well rounded person. Extracurricular activity gives me the chance to learn how to interact with different types of people and it can be a wonderful networking tool. Internships give students a chance to know what is expected of them in the working world and to experience it firsthand. And because this is a liberal arts school, we don’t just focus on the major, but the general education subjects that help students gain basic knowledge about different aspects in life and careers."
"I chose my majors because I fell in love with the subject of accounting in high school. I chose my IHT major because I live in a country that depends a lot on tourism. Both of my parents work in the industry and I love watching them work. It is a field that requires a true passion for dealing with people on a daily basis."
"One of the most important factors for me in choosing Saint Leo was the small class size. At this university, students are not just a number in a crowded classroom. Professors here want to see their students succeed. I have also learned how to incorporate the core values at Saint Leo throughout everyday living. I know that upholding the core values makes one a better person and they are the key ingredients to success in life."
