“One of my concerns before coming to college was not knowing who anyone was,” says Layson Craft, ‘07. “But after summer orientation…it felt like I had been at Saint Leo for a year by the very first day of school. Walking around campus, I always saw familiar faces.”

He entered the university as a Biology major, but after discovering the broad range of other science courses, Layson opted to add a major in Environmental Science and a minor in Chemistry. “The quality of the classes I have taken at Saint Leo has been excellent,” he says. “I have learned more in class because I have had professors that knew me as a person, not as just a number.”

Layson, who is already working in the field of radiology, feels Saint Leo prepares students well for both career and life. “I feel confident in my knowledge in the fields I am studying, but I also feel that my life has changed beneficially because of the core values here at Saint Leo,” he says.

“The experiences that you have and the people you meet in class are amazing, but the memories I have from being involved with different organizations are priceless.”
