Toni decided to attend Saint Leo after visiting many other schools because it was “by far the most friendly and open campus… [people] didn’t even know me and I already felt comfortable and accepted.”

She originally planned to major in Criminal Justice, but found out it wasn’t for her thanks to Saint Leo’s ability to aid students in finding what interests them. “[Saint Leo] allows us to step into the shoes of those professionals in our areas of interest, and discover if it is the right path for us as individuals.” Toni is currently an International Hospitality & Tourism Management major and is completing foreign study in Rome.

Saint Leo is preparing Toni for life after college. “Professors at Saint Leo treat students like peers…They know what we are going to face after graduation and they prepare us for the achievements and disappointments we will face.”

She feels that the interaction between professors and students is another key advantage of Saint Leo. “When I am at home, my friends and I get together for dinner and talk about our classes and professors, and most of them don’t even remember their professor’s names.” But Toni’s experience is just the opposite. “At Saint Leo, the professors are unforgettable… I will remember the stories they shared, the things they taught, and the time they spent helping me understand the most challenging and seemingly impossible topics.”
