Andre enrolled at Saint Leo to pursue a pre-med degree. A Biology major, he chose Saint Leo for a few reasons. “Saint Leo is amongst the top colleges/universities whose students are looked at when applying to grad school.” Andre believes that type of recognition will put him on a path to a great graduate study experience. Saint Leo prides itself on being a close-knit community; a factor that attracted Andre. “Everyone knows everyone and it is more than just classmates and professors, it’s a community, it’s a family.”

Andre is involved in many organizations on campus. “I must say that being active in almost all aspects of university life never has its dull moments.”

Andre also enjoys the fact that Saint Leo’s faculty is so accessible. “You can sit down and randomly have lunch with your professors. The president of the university can be seen walking around on a daily basis and always waves and says hello when passing by.”

Overall, Andre believes Saint Leo offers an experience “you can’t get at other schools. At St. Leo, you are a part of the school and you are able to take in all it has to offer.”
